A Blog About Binary Options

A Blog About Binary Options

The financial markets have always lured the individuals. Markets such as the forex market, the commodities market and the stock market have always seen tremendous volumes of trade. However there also exists another trading arena, which though is not as vast as the other financial markets, but it has its own importance and following. This is the world of binary options trading, where traders not lose more than their investment and the gains are good enough to make a decent living.
The binary options are also known as digital options, fixed returns options and all-or-nothing options. The various names given to binary options actually depict the nature of the options and this can be understood we understand what binary options are.
Binary options can be described as the contract, which enables a trader to anticipate the price movement of the underlying asset, be it a stock, a commodity, a currency pair or an index. The expiry time for a binary option can vary from an hour, to the end of the day, week or month, but mostly traders prefer the hourly expiring options, for gaining a quick buck. At the end of the expiry time, it is seen whether the price of the underlying asset has risen from the stock price of not. If according to the option bought by the trader, the option ends “in the money”, he gets the predetermined payoff. While if the option ends “out of money”, the trader does not get anything and he loses the premium that he spent on purchasing the option. For this reason, the binary options are called the all-or-nothing options. As the return on an “in the money”, option is fixed, the name Fixed return options or FROs is also justified.
Thus, with binary options there are only two outcomes, either a profit or a loss. The profit is predetermined, which could be from 65-75% of the investment. In case of an incorrect anticipation, the trader gets nothing, theoretically although the online trading platforms return a 10-15% of the investment.
The binary options are unique in the sense that there is no exchange, transfer or ownership of the underlying asset. The assets are not actually traded but there is a simple speculation on their future price. All settlements are made at the end of the expiration time of the option and made in cash. There are certain other benefits like limited risk, limited capital requirement, simplicity, diversity, transparency and instant gratification, which make binary options trading very lucrative.
To trade binary options, one simply needs to register himself with any of the trading platforms and get access to the market. Even new comers are welcomed to this trading arena and their inhibitions and doubts are cleared through the demo accounts provided by these platforms.
With the inception of the binary options being as recent as May 2008, the popularity of these options is growing steadily. More and more people are getting aware of this type of trading. Moreover with the facility of online trading platforms, the trend would continue to grow.
